GigFinder is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe and transparent experience for all users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our platform. By accessing or using GigFinder, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Information We Collect
When you use GigFinder, we collect personal information necessary for the platform’s functionality. This includes your name, contact details, email address, and payment information when you register. We also collect usage data such as your device information, IP address, and browsing behaviour to improve the platform and user experience.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to operate and improve the GigFinder platform and its services, communicate with you (including sending updates), process transactions, and enforce our terms while protecting against fraud or unauthorized access.
Payment & Payouts
Event planners are required to make full payment through the platform at the time of booking. Payouts to performers are processed within 24 to 48 hours, depending on bank processing times. If a booking is cancelled, refunds are handled based on our cancellation policy.
OTP (One-Time Password)
GigFinder uses OTP verification for actions like booking and identity confirmation. OTPs are sent via in-app chat and are valid for a short time to ensure secure activity on the platform.
Cancellation Policy
If a performer cancels more than three days before an event, the planner receives a full refund. Cancellations within three days still allow a full refund to the planner. If a performer does not show up and this is reported within 24 hours, a full refund is issued and the performer may be suspended for repeated no-shows. If the event planner cancels more than three days in advance, they get a full refund. Cancellations within three days are non-refundable. In such cases, GigFinder retains 15% of the fee, and 85% is paid to the performer as compensation.
Data Protection and Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, changes, or loss. Only authorized staff with relevant duties can access this data.
Sharing Your Information
GigFinder does not share your personal data with third parties unless required to deliver the service or comply with the law. For example, we may share data with payment processors for transactions.
Your Rights
You can access, update, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also unsubscribe from promotional communications or request a copy of your data.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
GigFinder may update this policy at any time. Revised terms will be posted on the site and communicated via app or email. Changes become effective upon posting.
