What affects the fee
- Profile and current hits. Artists with songs on the charts charge more.
- Set type. A short PA performance costs less than a full set with a DJ and hype man.
- Brand work. Social media posts or content for a brand are usually quoted separately from the performance.
- Travel and security. Bigger names may need transport, accommodation and security.
How booking works
- Find your act. Browse hip hop artists here or on Discover and open a profile to see genres, city, photos and the booking fee.
- Send a request. Tap Book Now and share your date, venue, type of event and budget.
- Agree the details. The artist’s team replies within 24 to 48 hours. Chat, confirm availability and agree the final quote.
- Pay safely. Pay by EFT or another major South African payment method. Your money stays in escrow until you confirm the performance.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to book a rapper in South Africa?
Each artist sets their own fee, shown on their GigFinder profile. The final quote depends on their profile, the type of set, the date and travel.
Can I book a rapper for a brand activation?
Yes. Share your brief, the date and what you need, such as a performance, an appearance or social posts, and the artist’s team will quote.
Do rappers perform with their own DJ?
Many travel with their own DJ or hype man. Confirm who is included in the quote before you pay.
How do payments work?
You pay the full booking fee upfront through GigFinder’s secure checkout, by EFT or another major South African payment method. The money is held in escrow until you confirm the performance by sharing a 4 digit code with the artist’s label, and only then is it released.
